Try Soup Making for quick, healthy and Delicious food
Many everyday cooks think soup is too complicated or time consuming to make, but in fact, homemade soup can be one of the simplest, most wholesome meals around!
While the homemade stock can be a little more time consuming to do-do to use a predefined organic healthy stocks soup-make much faster. It is important to choose a good stocks with a taste you want because it will affect the taste of a regardless of recipes as you do with it. Watch the sodium content of the layer that you chose when some tend to have relatively high sodium content. The second option is to spend a day making stock from scratch and freezing or canning it for later use. When you get the hang of it (it took me some time in early!) it is quite easy to do.
Most recipes can be made in large batches and frozen for a quick meal at a later time. Soups make a great Starter Kit for a meal, a side dish, snack, or a complete lunch or dinner. I would also like to pack them in a thermos for lunch on the go.
Soup usually also be completely healthy if you like from the classic cream based dishes or use a modified cream soup recipe that replaces the cream with low-fat milk and pureed potatoes. Broth or tomato based soup as a Starter packages tend also to fill people and lead to eat fewer calories during the meal. Studies in the past few years have actually shown that participants reduced calorie intake by 20% when they included a broth-based soup as a starter before their meal and that they do not consume extra calories to compensate for it through out the rest of the day. I would say that fact alone make soup worth considering!
A well-made soup is a great way to get extra nutrients even with the addition of vegetables and legumes. Some of my favorite recipes are pureed vegetable soups that butternut squash or carrot is creamy (without FAT), delicious and fast-free “for sure children!
I started to make soup by following step-by-step instructions of a simple recipe, began branching by adding a few ingredients into a regular recipe (which crushed chili peppers or Worcestershire sauce for a little spice) and now create new soups or variations each week.
